FTC seeks public comment on the accuracy of the study credit
The FTC wants public comments from interested parties on a pilot study, it is ready to regard the behaviour of the accuracy of credit reports. This study is crucial for consumers and businesses.Major intelligence agencies say that it’s really not a problem for the accuracy of information reported on consumer credit files, while 79% of credit reports contain errors. And the mistakes that exist, have little influence on the individual capacity to obtain credit.
ACCESS fears of the FTC study was stacked in favour of the credit report because the parties are not impartial. It is Fair Isaac and Credit Research Center at Georgetown University (CRCG).
Fair Isaac is a for-profit, for granting credit and the score is a direct beneficiary of credit problems within the industry.
CRCG-Council is composed of leaders of Household International and MBNA, both well as lender ouster of the competition.
During ACCESS fully subscribes to the study of the FTC, we see no way to study the objectives of succeeding if the contractor involved in analysing the results have an interest in the studys results.
